SCC’s own changed voice choir Coro Vivo and director Nathaniel Hendrix are holding a workshop open to ALL MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL TENORS AND BASSES regardless of previous choral experience!

Evan Norberg, clinician

Evan is an established clinician, private instructor, and conductor, maintaining a voice studio in Seattle. Evan possesses extensive knowledge in both classical and jazz styles, having been part of top ensembles in community and school groups, including Edmonds Community College’s Soundsation, Seattle Children’s Choir, and Central Washington University and University of Washington's Chamber Choirs. As a professional, he has performed as a guest bass/baritone soloist for local community and school groups, featuring in major works like René Clausen’s Memorial, Handel’s Messiah, and Faure’s Requiem. Evan holds degrees from Edmonds Community College and Central Washington University, including a Master’s in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance. He is currently attending UW to receive his Doctorate in Choral Conducting. He is actively involved in the Seattle professional choir scene as a member of Evergreen Ensemble, Byrd Ensemble, Radiance, Tudor Choir, Wind-Up Vocal Project, and more.

Cole Blume, clinician

Cole Blume holds degrees in music from St. Olaf College and the University of Oregon where he studied conducting with Sharon Paul. His voice teachers included Ann Tedards at the University of Oregon, and Marilyn Moore-Brown at the Levine School of Music in Washington, DC. He has sung as a member of the St. Olaf Choir, the Grammy-award winning ensemble Conspirare, and Festival Ensemble Stuttgart with Helmuth Rilling. He taught choral music for nine years at all levels and served the Oregon Bach Festival for ten seasons as associate director of the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy. Most recently, Cole served as director of music at Central Presbyterian Church in Eugene, Oregon. His passion for storytelling in song has been honed through rich experiences outside of the concert hall and classroom, including as a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago, a thru-hiker on the Pacific Crest Trail, a farmer growing organic produce, and a general manager in hospitality.
