Dreams of Christmas

  • Sunday, December 4th, 2011, 5:00 pm at Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Avenue
  • Saturday, December 10th, 2011, 1:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, Seattle, 1013 8th Avenue

The stunning voices of the Seattle Children’s Chorus will weave together a tapestry of sound, celebrating wonder-filled and imaginative scenes of this beautiful holiday. From images of a snowy countryside where “thousand footed flakes are dancing”, a musical dream-flight with an imaginary Snowman, walking on air and dancing in the midnight sky, to images of an ancient hillside shimmering from a brilliant star with the sounds of an angel chorus singing “Gloria in Excelsis Deo”, the Seattle Children’s Chorus invites our audiences to imagine with us every colorful thread of the Christmas story. This concert will bring wonder and joy to your Christmas season.

  • Saturday, March 10th, 2012, 1:00 pm at Town Hall, Seattle, 8th Avenue & Seneca Street

The Seattle Children’s Chorus invites our audience to share in this family friendly concert tradition, our “Songs of the Heart” concert. We will take a walk down memory lane as each choir presents best loved choral pieces from past years. This season, we celebrate the music of our own American traditions, including American folk songs, patriotic songs, spirituals, jazz, and original works by some of our great American composers. All chorus levels will take the stage to celebrate a wellspring of musical styles that have accompanied our American history and culture.
