Jul 2, 2010: Overnight Flight Departure from the United States.
Jul 3, 2010: Bath Your tour manager will meet you upon arrival in London and transfer you into southwestern England. Subject to arrival time, your first visit will be to Stonehenge, one of Europe’s oldest and most mystical sites. Afterwards, continue to the lovely city of Bath where you will check into your comfortable hotel. Your afternoon sightseeing tour will show you the highlights of this stunning city, including the Roman Baths (entrance included), Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge and the Royal Crescent! Dinner will be in a local restaurant before returning to your hotel for a good night’s sleep! (D)
Jul 4, 2010: Cardiff This morning, depart to the capital of Wales, Cardiff, and check in to your hotel. Today, you will meet the singers of the Mid-Powys Youth Choir (also attending Llangollen!) and give a joint concert on this special July 4th evening; venue options include Brecon Cathedral. Enjoy dinner before returning to your hotel. (B,D)
Jul 5, 2010: Cardiff Enjoy a guided city tour this morning with entrances to the Museum of Wales and Cardiff Castle. The highlight of your day will be your workshops with Lissa Gray, director of the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain! Dinner will be in a local restaurant this evening. (B,D)
Jul 6, 2010: Llangollen Depart for north Wales today and travel to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod – a world-renowned festival of music, song and dance. Competitors from more than fifty countries come together for one week to stand side by side through music, while each evening the Pavilion plays hosts to concerts by world-class artists. Accommodation will be in local homes or dormitory-style locations; dinner arrangements to be advised. (B)
Jul 7, 2010: Llangollen Senior Children’s Choirs Competition: 18 years old and under. The Eisteddfod is held in the Royal International Pavilion which seats over 4,000 people. The stage measures 30 x 10 meters. Tiered staging for choirs is available for up to 80 singers. Further details regarding the Eisteddfod Field Outside Stage dimensions as well as additional performance opportunities may be available to accepted competitors as appropriate. Accommodation will be in local homes or dormitory-style locations; dinner arrangements to be advised. (B)
Jul 8, 2010: Llangollen Junior Children’s Choirs Competition: 13 years old and under. Youth Choirs Competition: 16-25 years old. Enjoy the festival’s multi-cultural atmosphere today! Accommodation will be in local homes or dormitory-style locations; dinner arrangements to be advised. (B)
Jul 9, 2010: Edinburgh Depart Wales after the Folk Competition and journey north to Scotland. En route, stop for lunch on your own in the Lake District town of Kendal – be sure to try the local mint cake! Continue north to Scotland’s capital and check in to your comfortable hotel on arrival. This evening, enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D) **Today’s itinerary may need to be modified pending confirmation of Folk Festival competition timing.
Jul 10, 2010: Edinburgh After breakfast in the hotel, a local guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of Scotland’s capital, including Princes Street, Charlotte Square, Holyrood Palace, and the famous Royal Mile. At 11am, you will rehearse at St Giles Cathedral, the High Kirk of Scotland, in preparation for your 12.15pm concert. Afterwards, have lunch on your own followed by entrance to Edinburgh Castle! Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure. This evening, you will have dinner together and an evening Ghost Walk! (B,D)
Jul 11, 2010: Edinburgh Your morning excursion will take you through the Trossachs, famous for its local legend, Rob Roy McGregor, and on to Loch Lomond for a cruise on the lake! Afterwards, continue to your final venue to meet a local children’s choir and enjoy an exchange and shared concert this evening. Enjoy dinner together this evening! (B,D)

Seattle Children’s Chorus Touring Choirs prepare for their United Kingdom Tour with a Send-Off Concert on Sunday, June 27th a 6:00 pm at Berean Bible Church, 2345 N 185th in Shoreline.
Arioso and Camerata have received our official invitation to the International Musical Eisteddfod in Llangollen, Wales, one of the most prestigious festivals in all of Europe! SCC will be competing in 3 division, The Senior Children’s Choir competition, The Youth Choir competition and the Folk Song competition, with various combinations of Arioso and Camerata choristers involved in each!
An 11-Day Custom Performance Tour of the UK and the Llangollen International Music Eisteddfo is being planned. Our tour will include outstanding venues for performances and a workshop with one of England’s top choral clinicians! Other highlights of the tour will include: Stonehenge and the Roman Baths in southwestern England, a Castle Banquet in Wales on the 4th of July; guided tours of the cities of Cardiff, Wales and Edinburgh, Scotland; and a cruise on the famed Loch Lomond! Meals will be top-notch and our accommodations are 3 and 4 star hotels! This should prove to be a wonderful experience for Arioso and Camerata! International-eisteddfod.co.uk
Arioso was featured on King TV’s Evening Magazine on December 4th. The crew from the show filmed the choir singing “O Holy Night” for a segment highlighting area choirs.
Seattle Children’s Chorus has begun their 23rd season! As we enter into 2012, we’d like to introduce….CORO VIVO! A brand new male voices choir! Open to young men ages 12-19 with changed and changing voices! We’d also like to introduce……POCO a POCO! Our newest non-auditioned pre-choir program for children aged 5&6. Poco a Poco is a fun and interactive introduction to music-making through singing, listening, movement, and playing instruments. Registration is open for both!
We welcome Coro Vivo and Poco a Poco to Arioso, Intermezzo, Brio, & Camerata, a choral COMMUNITY! Some of the most life-changing things happen for our kids because of community: Developing a sense of team work; Learning to listen and create beautiful artistry in sound as a team; Offering support and encouragement to fellow singers; Demonstrating acceptance for all participants; Taking on new challenges with confidence; Growing, changing, maturing socially in a safe place.

Camerata has been invited to perform for the Edmonds Uited Methodist Church Organ Dedication Concert on Sunday, February 7th at 3:00 pm as part of the church’s Organ Benefit Concert Series. This concert is the culmination of many years of planning ad dreaming for a new pipe organ. Camerata is honored to be a part of this concert series.
Camerata had the opportunity to perform for some of the finest and most recognized music professionals in the country at the Heritage Festival of Gold in San Francisco, May of 2009. The adjudicators and clinicians for the event included Eph Ehly, André Thomas and Randall Stroope among others. Only choirs of the highest caliber were invited to participate in the festival. The festival venue was at the beautiful St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco.
